The Lemosho Route
The Lemosho Route is one of the most scenic and rewarding ways to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, offering trekkers a perfect balance of adventure and acclimatization. For a seven-day trek with Lijani Tours, the journey begins at Londorossi Gate, where you will complete entry formalities before starting your ascent through the lush rainforest. This initial stage is teeming with birdlife and colobus monkeys, providing excellent photo opportunities.
As you progress, the route takes you through diverse landscapes, from the moorlands of the Shira Plateau to the alpine deserts near Lava Tower. Each day presents new challenges and breathtaking views, with ample time for acclimatization to increase your chances of reaching the summit. The trek includes stops at key campsites such as Mti Mkubwa, Shira 1, Shira 2, Barranco, and Karanga, each offering unique vistas and experiences.
